We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join our South Edmonton client's team.
The successful applicant for this position will have 10 years of previous experience in Mechanical Design, combine with 3 years supervisory experience and 5 years in a manufacturing capacity.
All applicants must have a Mechanical Engineering Degree, and be in good standing with APEGGA as a P.Eng.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and methods is an asset, as they will be working directly with quality and production personnel on shop projects, production issues, non-conformances and process improvements.
Excellent communication skills and proficiency with CAD and CAE Software (Solidworks and Simulation in particular), as well as MS Word and Excel will be especially beneficial for this position.
Job Responsibilities will include:
-Providing engineering support to Sales, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Maintenance and Lean
-Design and analysis of custom engineered solutions
-Overseeing the daily functions of the Engineering department- Technical Services division (In conjunction with the Engineering Manager)
